Supermetrics has hugely benefited our company's information for all of our reporting needs. We have been able to streamline the process for pulling data from different sources and combining different data types. Overall the best part of Supermetrics is that the entire connection system is built off of a simple and easy to integrate connector, which makes it easy for anyone to use.
Overall, the entire Supermetrics platform has been great, but the only negative is that sometimes the data freshness is not 100% on point with what we see in real-time, or Google Data Studio has issues. I'm not sure, to be honest, but I am sure that it probably has something to do with Google Data Studio.
Currently, we are not experiencing any issues with Supermetrics. All of the benefits outweigh any problems that we are having. Overall, if we can use Supermetrics for years to come, that will make us happy!
Supermetrics for Google Data Studio has been a great linker for our team between for Bing. The setup & interface for linking accounts was super intuitive and I couldn't fault the setup process.
The only bad thing I can say about this is that there isn't a lower usage plan, it goes straight from 1 to 10 connectors, if there were scaling price points between these, it would be great.
The problem that we've solved with Supermetrics is getting the data out of the Microsoft Bing platform and into Google Data Studio so that all the members of our larger company can view and understand it in a simplified, pretty way.
The platform is easy to use, and since it's pretty stripped-down and simple, it allows for a lot of customization and no-nonsense configuration to help keep you on track.
Some queries can take quite a bit of time, and there are times where queries won't refresh properly without sending the configured error message email. Getting that sorted and a bit more reliable would definitely be helpful. That being said, I'd say 97% of the time, data gets refreshed properly.
We're more easily automating the import of data into both Google Sheets and Google Data Studio. It's cut our reporting and data-gathering time down by over 90% and allowed us to expand our reporting capabilities and spend more time focusing on projects for our clients.
The ease of use versus writing our own API queries is hugely time saving. Saves lots of time manual reporting. Great integration with datastudio and updates are timely
Segmenting out licences between sheets and datastudio - its a shame these have to be paid for separately. The functionality around updating queries could be a bit clearer, sometimes you end up updating the wrong query. Also the fact that when you update a query sometimes it creates a new query - this is often unnecessary so the option to delete the old one would be useful to keep your queries tidy
solving manual reporting, solving automated reporting for non technical people
Automation and reduce a great of errors/hours because of manual work.
Sometimes it cannot get all the data from the datawarehouse. I needed to wait a few hours to refresh supermetric again so it can run properly.
It makes automation possible and reduce a great amount of human errors by entering data manually.
Supermetrics pulls the data needed for me to set up daily monitoring reports to save time for monitoring accounts.
The learning curve is a little steep when starting.
I am able to automate daily dashboards for all my clients.
It's fairly easy to use and a great alternative to some more expensive BI Tools
The sync between Google Apps scripts and some formula functions is tricky.
Supermetrics helps us with Data manipulation and customization. It is very cost-effective and simple to use.
I love how easy it is to set up ongoing reporting so I can go in every morning and have everything I need to understand changes in performance,or how things are going on an intraday basis.
There is not much that I dislike about the product. In some scenarios, my Adobe connection falls off and I lose the data I am trying to pull, but it's a simple refresh of the report to get back up.
I am solving manual data pulls that take up hours on end to complete. The benefits of streamlining reports have saved my team up to 15 hours a month! We can easily track spend and performance now, and faster!
The ability to pull multiple sources and schedule data exports.
I wish they had some additional sources, such as a connection to certain DSP providers.
Supermetrics allows me to create reports quickly and automate my data exports. This saves me a ton of time.
Ease of use, and the ability to template reports. This has made creating meaningful marketing reports much easier to create and duplicate
Some APIs have daily limits or issues. This isn't Supermetrics fault but can still be a pain to deal with.
Marketing dashboards for clients are incredibly easy to create.
How easy it is to use and how easy it is to manage data.
It can possibly be a bit complicated for anyone who doesn't understand
I'm solving all the problems related to data studio, supermetrics makes it easy to connect data
It's really simple to bring in data from Social platforms and blend it with data from Google.
The downsides are limited, I think just having to reconnect your data source when Facebook updates it's metrics is slight nuisance, but takes a few seconds every few months so not the end of the world.
I wasn't able to effectively import "non-google" data into google datastudio previously, we use it for all of our reporting as a digital marketing agency for client's. It helps us show clearly what's working and what isn't
I'm able to pull in platform data from Facebook, Google, Shopify, and other sources into a consolidated view outside of each individual source.
It's not always the easiest to manipulate queries, but once you get the hang of how to verify a query setup, it's not too bad. A bit of a learning curve.
Supermetrics allows me to get a holistic view of how our performance marketing is doing rather than just looking at platform level performance.
Integration to Datastudio is helpful. I like the feature of picking up data in real time. I am using supermetrics for datastudio. It gives more metrics and platforms compared to competitors
Some metrics works for one datastudio report and not for the other and some metrics are missing in some social media platforms. We have to wait too long for customer care to respond with our problems. If you can improve these please?
The benefit of using supermetrics is that my time to produce a report becomes much more less consuming. This lessens the cost for our company and makes me more productive. Our business performance increased as well.
I like the ability to see data from many different sources in one place. as a marketer, I need to see our performance with cost metrics, and only with sabermetrics, I can see CPA by channel (Google, Facebook, Linkedin etc.).
auto-refresh not very stable and reliable
Performance marketing analysis by marketing channel
easy to pull and schedule daily reports from various sources inincluding Google Ad Manager and BigQuery
desc order for date doesn't work in sql query to BigQuery. more connections to ad partners would be awesome such as: pubmatic_v2 pubnative magnite smaato triple_lift xandr inmobi openx
automating report pulling. using google big query data to compare to third party sources. Benefits are simplicity to pull from sournces and set up daily runtimes
It's easy to use, we can set up easily many sources on our Data Studios reports. We use it to plug Facebook ads, Instagram Ads, Google Ads, Analytics and Bing Ads to Data studio.
When we have several accounts, it can sometime be difficult to plug a source with the right account. But the support is helpful and this is no more a problem.
The first benefit is to win time. Instead of pluging APIs directly or to use data bases, you can directly plug many sources just by logging in your accounts (fb, insta, google, etc.) Then, everything is updated by supermetrics, no need to do anything else.
Supermetrics is highly intuitive to use, feature-rich, and saves valuable time for me as a campaign manager.
The pricing model got much more expensive over the years.
Saving time on reporting, analyzing campaign data and campaign optimization
We'd use supermetrics in our growth marketing agency to build strong reports and share with our clients in data studio. Supermetrics allow us to elevate our agency service.
It would be awesome if you can offer support in Spanish. Also the initial setup was complicated for us because it's not clear how to setup your account. Sometimes also we experience disconnections from data sources without reason and our reports broke up.
Definitely we have the chance to elevate our data measure and we can take decisions based on data. We're more productive because we automated all the reports and we use that time for looking new insights.
Supermetrics is a useful tool that quickly puts together a lot of data that would be a pain to collect. It automates seeing insights that would be unfeasible to review daily or hourly.
Pricing can be less than transparent, as adding new connectors and new team members each costs money. It's also gated through a sales team rather than something I can add the moment I need it
We use Supermetrics to understand trends across our marketing spend and stitch together different data sources quickly in Google Sheets. It would be impossible to do this without a tool like Supermetrics
