When you use Slack together with work infrastructure like Atlassian, it satisfies in almost every aspect. From free subscription (when you join any thematic Slack community) to paid plan (when you use it inside your team's workflow), Slack performs greatly on every kind of platform: from desktop to mobile device
Some little UI/UX moments like "the message contains couple of links, so Slack suggests to drop previews on each of them". Disregarding to that, every other aspect of Slack seems to be really optimal, handy and of use.
Slack helps greatly in teamwork, collaborating between different departments (e.g. marketing team and design team), can be successfully implemented into existing infrastructure (e.g. Atlassian). If we talk about free-to-join thematic communities, Slack also can be a better deal than Discord or anything else
Alerting notifications from ChurnZero to Slack; huge win for CSMs to receive high-risk Alerts within dedicated Slack channels. Compared to other CS platforms, this capability offers extremely effective UI and easy enablement.
The ChurnZero Slack integration does not provide CSMs the ability to directly interact with the ChurnZero ChatBot within Slack. Pure CSMs provided feedback that they'd prefer to interact with ChurnZero's ChatBot within Slack Direct Messages; and access customer information outside of basic CRM details; if ChurnZero could make the Slack Integration more effective with information across secondary data integrations... that would be a game-changer!
Our Slack integration in ChurnZero is used to send High-Risk Alerts from our Usage data to CSMs; we realized we could receive these in as close to real-time as they can receive them from various disparate data systems. CSM's can get these risk alerts in Slack; without having to review several data systems to find the high risk information on their own time. We also love the ability to quickly report on ChurnScore changes is a bonus as well.
The bots for calendaring events and reminding you when they are upcoming. There is also a place to see all calendared events so you can see what you have on the agenda at any given time. You can also customize notifications.
There is a bit of a learning curve when you first get started, there are a lot of features, and if you are just using it to chat between co-workers then it's not being used effectively and it seems like too much of a system.
We are able to coordinate between many departments all in one place, plan events, meetings, and meet within the app. We can have bots make our job a little bit easier and schedule for us.
I love the ability to use slack forms. Having group channels is amazing. The ability to huddle is great.

Searching for files or older messages can sometimes be a bit of a task. The search seems to default to attempting to find what they think you want, while not sorting by date it was posted by default.
24/7 communication. It gives me the ability to drop small messages to my team at all times of the day/night, and they will see them the following morning if they have quiet hours set.

Slack it's just the perfect tool to be connected with my team. We can go about our day and exchange async messages whenever needed or even a quick sync call, share our screens, documents, record screens and more. I love the fact that I can always check a thread and find what I need, regardless of the date the messages were sent, or if I am not in that specific channel!
I could only use slack for everything I need and I would be covered. All features work as promised. Keep adding integrations with other tools. Improving notifications.

it's easy to have too many channels ping you everytime, so make sure you don't create many channels. if you do so, you will end up not checking everytime, which makes it lose its purpose. Also, their search SUCKS! that's their main weak point, but the benefits overshadow them.

UPDATE: By shipping quick video messages and audio messages with built in transcription and with huddles slack has made me update and give them a 10/10 they're the only one I've done this for. This helps to lead to the future of work. Instead of long detailed text or quick terse text you can make a quick vid and show your face to share context and tone and show on screen what you're thinking. Slack is very simple, searchable and convenient. If you didnt know slack is an aronym. Standard Log of All Communication and Knowledge SLACK. When a teammate left and I needed a comment I remembered him sharing all I had to do was search for the right channel that he made it, or even DM, where his email inbox becomes completely lost unless I was on CC.
Notifications and interruptions are a real risk. Establish boundaries, recognize the cost of task switching. Turn off as many notifications as possible and set intentional times to task switch to and away from slack. The proliferation of direct messages and private channels can be challenging but countered with a culture of openness. Cost can be a challenge, but a ton of value is being delivered for it.
A mix of synchronous and aa-synchronous and transparent and confidential communication. Often with images and links, threading to narrow in various channels. With videos and audio messages that are automatically transcribed slack has become an incredibly useful a-synch work communication tool. I prefer it to email so much its scary.

1. Slack is too powerful and big decisions can be made on the channels or group chats without making official note of it. Sometimes these important decisions can be lost in the conversation. 2. You can not search across all workspaces. You will have to go to each workspace and search for what you are looking for. 3. Slack's phone app can be sluggish at times. 4. You can not migrate chat history from one workspace to another workspace if you are moving to a new workspace.

O mais util é a facilidade em estar logada em diversos workspaces com a mesma conta. Hoje nenhum outro software que tenho acesso me permite isso com tanta eficiência.
Não tem nenhuma desvantagem no uso. Inclusive, uso como canal de comunicação direta com meus alunos. Até para alguns que nunca usaram, sentem-se satisfeitos com a facilidade e o quao user friendly a ferramente é.
Ele resolve todos os problemas relacionados a comunicação de qualidade entre meus colegas de trabalho e alunos, assim como garante o compartilhamento de materias sem perder o histórico. E isso aumentou muito a qualidade de entrega dos projetos e agilizou a troca de artigos.
The user interface is very fluid. Variety of documents are supported for attachments. The ability to share code block is the best feature.
Desktop and webapp has some latency, altough it is not too much, but still is noticble. Also, when uploading .txt files one it dumps out the text input directly into the message instead of sending the file as it is.
Mainly the problems of collaborating with my colleagues from different time zones. It is very convenient to check the status and local time of your colleagues and communicate with them accordingly.
Integrations and ease of use are top notch. And they're working on a seamless Salesforce integeration, wich will make things run much smoother for my company.

Intraoffice communication is a snap. Helping to get everyone out of email, which is a HUGE relief.
It's so easy to communicatew ith different teams whether it be different projects or remote workers through Slack's channels. It keeps everyone in the same loop and ready to go.
The one part of the software that is really lacking is the calling / video chat features. Often times you aren't able to pick up and we simply move the meeting over to Google Meet.

I like that it is very easy to use and start communicating with people. It's also very great that you can sign up for free and not have to have a paid account to use it for your business.
The limitations on storage with the free account and it can get pricey once you try to increase to a paid account. I think either has a bridge pricing category that is a little more affordable. But you can use the entire software for free which is very nice.
We're trying to streamline communication and limit the amount of emails and text messages that are happening. Slack is used as our main form of communication for our teams and easy to have all of the communication in one place.

Slack makes connecting with others easy and enjoyable. There is something for everyone, and it is more reliable and user friendly than Teams or Skype while still providing a ton of customizations and special features.
