Remote collaboration, virtual meetings/interviews & instant messaging
What I like best is the user friendly aspect. It takes less than 3 minutes to set up a meeting or webinar. I like that it can automatically record the session so you don't have to remember yourself. I like that it can save the text in the chat box feature in case there is a lively discussion you want to go back to. I like that you can practice in the meeting or webinar as many times as you want without messing anything up when the live broadcast comes (that is very helpful for inexperienced speakers).
The things i dislike are mostly trivial. I dislike that you can only have three featured speakers on the registration page. Some sessions we had more than three speakers and we had to double up and feature two speakers on one profile. We created a duel photo and put both their bios in the one field. It was a work around, but would have been much cleaner if we could have entered as many speakers as we needed. I also dont like that you can not edit where the branding logos go on the registration page or in the emails. Our company logo is often to the side of the page and not centered. It makes us the end user look unprofessional.
We have solved quite a few problems using RingCentral meetings. Due to the Covid crisis of 2020, our national conference was cancelled. In order to continue to serve our constituents we had to pivot to an online forum. In leiu of our conference we were able to set up several online educational series using RingCentral Meetings. These educational sessions were spread out over the summer and helped us keep in contact with our members while we couldn't be with them. This move from in person to online with RingCentral meetings also helped us keep our conference sponsorship money which saved our jobs.
I like that RingCentral Meetings allows for easy creation and hosting of virtual meetings, with a variety of options, including scheduling on behalf of others.
I dislike that I cannot change which user I've set a meeting for without deleting the initial meeting (ex: I schedule for 2 advisors - if I accidentally schedule a RC meeting for one of them but want to switch it to the other I have to delete & start over).
We're solving the problem of in-person meetings during a global pandemic and working face-to-face with out-of-state clients.
RingCentral is a digital communication platform in the cloud, for a long time we wanted to leave behind the analog communication devices that represented enormous maintenance, installation and deployment costs, digital communication came to revolutionize the way we communicate and RingCentral has We have been our great ally, we have saved a lot of money, and we also managed to connect those workplaces that were difficult to connect due to costs. Now, through IP communication, we can communicate faster and better.
We would like RingCentral to have an instant messaging system so that colleagues can interact faster with each other, in case telephone communication was not the first option at that time, it would be a good way to be connected, it would also be ideal if the Phonebook will sync with our messaging system to more easily find the phones of our active contacts.
The costs of network deployment and maintenance represent a great amount of money for our company, so it was necessary to migrate to a digital communication system that was cheaper but also more efficient, we have achieved this with the help of RingCentral which has been widely accepted by our collaborators who have easily adapted to this new way of communicating.
What I like best about Ring Central is around the Mobile app compared to the desktop application. A lot of the features in regards to scheduling and joining/starting meetings is at least equal to it's competitors.
I think the actual invite that comes through email is a bit less user friendly than WebEx or Microsoft Teams. It's not confusing, but just not as clear on how to dial in / access audio.
I'm solving the problem of making sure that I use the same collaboration platform of certain clients and our partners at Ring Central.
Great user interface on web and mobile app. Excellent phone call routing and forwarding options.
Does not allow playback of voice calls on mobile app for Android phones; only available through website or Apple mobile app. No SMS capabilities with vanity or toll-free numbers.
Being able to have a professional phone presence while on the go... Small businesses that are not tied down to an office or are mobile-based need a phone service that can give a professional business appearance with Ring central so helps me be able to work and answer calls while on the road.
I love that it comes to our email and we can keep an "electronic paper trail" of what faxes are sent okay so that there's not an opportunity to lose paperwork
Sometimes we can't access all the app features via mobile.
all faxes come to our email directly
It integrates with Salesforce and that adds a lot of value for my sales users.Support is very good
You cant have 2 meeting simultaneously. sometimes it's difficult for users to find out where the window to chat went once they start sharing their screen. If the Customer doesn't use this tool, they have to install it.
All that I can think of, Calling internal and external parties, Having activities logged into salesforce. having immediate communications with internal teams. easy to create setup meetings
They are constantly updating their software adding new features for free. In a space where software companies are constantly charging for add-on features, it's a pleasure to do business with a company that does not nickel and dime customers.
It's not a deal breaker, but their customer service is hit or miss. Other than that, there is not too much to complain about.
I've replaced my desktop phone with the RC softphone. They also have a wonderful mobile app that works most of the time. RC allows us to be mobile and answer calls remotely.
The ease of being able to set up meetings with agents and clients near and far. The whole system works well together.
Sometimes the quality of the calls are not the best. We are hardwired at the company, but I believe the issue is when some of our clients are not hardwired and using wireless, is when we have the biggest issues with call quality.
Being able to connect with people near and far at the drop of a hat. It really has taken our meetings and face-to-face meetings to a whole other level by not having to travel to meet clients.
RingCentral Office is a well rounded VoIP software that includes all features that a sales team needs: artificial intelligence (AI), integration to SalesForce, and video conferencing. Additionally, RingCentral offers a phone app that is super easy to navigate and makes remote calls a breeze. It is easy to communicate with people internally within the organization via an easy to use search bar; and calling externally is likewise an easy process, as its just a matter of copy and pasting a number (even if there are hyphens in the number it registers). It's great that you don't need a physical phone on your desk to use RingCentral - all you need are headphones and an internet connection. My absolute favorite part of RingCentral is that it allows you to call from a "local number", meaning respective area codes will pop up on phones you are calling.
A con with RingCentral it that it is dependant on the internet. A few times we couldn't make calls for 20-minute stretches while dealing with WiFi connectivity. Another con is that the software records all calls, even if there was no talking involved, meaning it would record ringing and voicemail messages - which I found to cloud up storage space. It would be nice if it could filter through that.
At my company, we wanted to use a VoIP software that could integrate with SalesForce, record all of our calls, and that could be used without physical phones. RingCentral does all of this seamlessly. The biggest benefit from RingCentral has been being able to access previous calls, and also the ease of use of the software.
For my business application, the best feature I have found within RingCentral Meetings is the ability to seamlessly screen share. We are able to invite attendees to a meeting and provide a visual display via the screen share to effortlessly communicate ideas.
As of current my team and I have yet to discover a dislike for the RingCentral Meetings. This app has satisfied all of our needs and requests to complete our goals!
A large area of concern we had previously was that our organized meetings did not have the Computer Screen Share capability. Thus, meeting communication was limited to audio only. As this was a problem within our organization, we began using RingCentral Meetings to host all organized meeting events. Our communication and goal completion has become much more efficient!!
RC is so easy to use. You can schedule meetings in advance or simply start one and send an invite. Meet with one or several people at once, share a file or your desktop with the click of a button. Chat and more are completely integrated.
Some of the controls are not easy to find initially. For example, to join a call, you have to click on Video, even if you're joining an audio call. And you can't easily connect your desktop with your phone when dialing in, so there are often two different "connections" for the same person if using both laptop and mobile (I might do this sometimes if there's a poor connection or if I want to have mobility -- not be tethered to my desk -- during the meeting).
RC Meetings makes it so much easier to have everyday video calls. With our remote workers, we can have regular "face time" with team members and colleagues. This benefits everyone on a project. We can have a group of people on a call and see each other easily. The video is much more reliable than Skype or WebEx too.
The fact that I can just email my clients my meeting room URL and they can jump straight into the meeting room for a screenshare is amazing. It's really easy and I do not have to verbally tell them the link to join in. Saves a lot of time for me. The app overall is self explanatory and very easy to use. I use one PMI so it's even easier with 1 URL for all meetings.
After every meeting session ends Ringcentral asks me to give a thumbs up or thumbs down to share my experience. Once every 10-15 meetings is fine but after every meeting I have to do it this is annoying. I have reported this to customer support many times.
With one PMI I just have my clients save it and when they want join my meeting room for a discussion and a screenshare. This saves me from back and forth emails to setup time and them meetup. RC meetings is a big time timesaver app for business professionals.
I love having the ability to communicate with coworkers across the country from my desktop or mobile phone. The ability to forward phones with a couple clicks on the desktop or cell phone is so convenient.
Too many changes, seems like everytime I turn around there is an update of sorts and I have to change the order I do things.
Ease of using the system
app allows users to work remotely using the same office number able to send and receive text messages . you can check voicemail ,send text, and make calls from anywhere with the same office number , personal cell on your desktop
menu can be confusing at times but once you learn how to navigate it , it is easier and they have a great customer support to help wait times can be long to get a rep on the phone.
office phone system
Call recoding, glip messaging system. Easy to set up conference bridge/call
For conference calls, there are multiple codes a participant has to enter which creates some confusion.
We used to use different tools for conference calls so this is great to do it all in one place.
I like the feature of being able to have incoming calls go to personal phone numbers. And that we can use lots of different phone numbers.
Sometimes it is difficult to adjust the phone number that you want the incoming call to go to. Plus I wish there was a better caller ID feature.
We do not have a set office receptionist so the fact that we can get "office" calls on the go is GREAT! We can send phone calls directly to the right person.
How easy it is to use service, can sand and receive fax documents without having to pay for extra fax number.
How many steps it takes to fax a document. I wish there was a way to have RingCentral access your scanner/copier for easy fax uploading.
Getting important documents faxed over to suppliers, vendors and customers.
Ease of setup. Great customer support. Good level of customization, online tools, and resources. Video conference tool is easy to use. Apps intergrate well in iOS and Andriod making system very easy to access from anywhere. Glyp tool is really easy and go for quick connection with in an organization.
So far there has been nothing I dislike. Minor issue with contract and start dates that was rectified relatively quickly. Numrous calls hit system before number was published but were spam.
VOIP phones and video conferencing tool.
