There are so many things you cannot control in sales and often times we have to let that go. There are, however, 2 major areas where we as reps can drive major impacts to the sale process and our ability to win. 1. Our initial message in reaching out. Because leaders are prospected every single day, it is nearly impossible to stand out in the crowd. Lavender enables me to send the right message with the highest chance of a response. It does this by helping me craft messages by choosing the right words, and builds meaning behind what I am trying to say. It will increase your Open, Read, and Response rate. 2. Our message throughout the sales process. When a prospect goes from "I'm interested" to "We met", this is the other major area where reps can drive impact to the sales process. Sales writing is in a really poor place right now, especially in the sales process. Too many emails that look and sound the same, with little follow-up context, relying on the fact that there was a demo. Lavender helps me draft an email that nails on pain-points, drives the value of what I want to say. It will increase your discovery conversion rate and your overall win rate, by helping you stand out against your competitors.
A superhuman integration would be cool, but not a need to have.
Low Reply Rates. Almost everyone in sales is facing low email reply rates, and the number of emails will continue to rise in 2023.
- Word counter. - Sentiment analysis - Message readiness score. - Pesonalization tool. - GIF embedding. - The support. - Founders and team that open themselves to chat.... Not something you see often. - Chrome extension is basically sales crack and I want more. Basically- All of it, and I think I only scratched the surface.
Its a minor thing, but sometimes the tool doesn't load things and does require a refresh of the browser. Honestly not a big deal given that they are pretty early stage and have accomplished a lot with very little. Only reason I'm writing this is G2 won't let me progress if I leave this blank.
- Needing to get better at my email outreach. - Removing the guess work. - Getting way better open rates. - GIF embed improved my repeat open rates like crazy. - My average email went from being 100+ words to 80 or less. - Getting way more replies from cold emails.
It's not only helped me write but it's also helped me speak. One of those 'life hack' experiments that turned into something I can't live without. The most exciting part is the constant improvements the product team is making.
Looking forward to seeing tighter integrations from Lavender Anywhere
Writing better emails Increasing open email rate Helping me script my pitch better
I like the email tips and the scoring rubric that Lavendar provides to make sure you're sending out the best email possible
Sometime it can take a little while for your email to update in the Lavendar interface after you make changes, but this is a very minor issue.
Lavendar is helping my team to compose better emails in order to improve our read and response rate
Easy to use. It's incredibly quick to craft a personalized email. It's a wonderful "one last check" to make sure your email is as effective as possible.
The AI options sometimes contradict what the Lavender team has found to be most effective. Not a huge issue and doesn't happen every time.
Sales emails. I put every email campaign I run through Lavender. Any "deal-closing" emails also get checked.
Lavender has helped me to create better and impactful emails in English. As native in spanish lavender has make the experience of writing emails so easy and makes me feel confident that it is well written and structured. Also, Iove the features that come with it, it makes the whole experience more complete.
I can't really find anything I dislike about it !! I truly recommended to everyone!
Definitely, it's being able to save time and be sure that the emails I write are being written in the best possible way.
As an SDR I like that it keeps me honest when i wax poetic. It challenges me to thing about what I'm writing. It helps me put out quality. And it upped our teams response rate. Any SDR teams out there could benefit from this. I've already recommended this to friends. Love that it gives the mobile view so I can see what it will look like on a prospect's phone
The window gets in the way of my email and to close it is a little tedious. But that is minor.
Solving the issue of getting prospects to respond to an email. It helps by using actual data to tell you the likelihood of response. If anyone saw moneyball - its the moneyball system for email
Lavender is an essential tool for anybody who sends emails externally. Learn how to communicate better with one simple plug-in.
There are no downsides to using Lavender. It will only help you write better emails that people actually read and reply to.
Lavender is a MUST for anybody who writes external emails. If you are communicating with prospects in a sales or marketing role, it's an essential tool. It's so reasonably priced and there is no reason you shouldn't already be using it.
This is a tough question honestly, like the more I talk about Lavender the less it would be. Lavender has made my life easier when it comes to crafting new cold emails, the Mobile Editor feature is amazing and gives you an idea of how your emails would look while reading on a cell phone screen. Remember most prospects are on the go and checking emails on their mobile so this is a game-changer. Next, I'd recommend the feature to concise your emails and cut the fluff. I wish I had this product 5 years back and life would have been different. A huge shoutout to Will Allred and Will Ballance for creating something that has disrupted and changed the world of "Cold Email". Emailing has never been so much fun.
I doubt if there's anything to dislike but I wish we had a version for mobile and LinkedIn messaging, maybe in the near future, who knows :)
As an individual contributor and prospecting every day of the year, email is an integral part of my outreach. Getting the chance to increase my reply rates, pique an interest using soft CTAs, cutting the fluff, and be able to book meetings, the benefit is endless!!
It's intuitive. It gives me great feedback in real-time. It also suggests wording I never would have thought of that has led to a higher response rate on my cold emails!
I do wish there was a way to exclude a portion of it (like signature as someone else mentioned) to avoid a lower score, but otherwise, I really can't think of anything else.
Just getting higher response rates, not spending so much time crafting emails because it does a lot of the work for you.
Email scoring is what I like (and use) the most, mainly within Outreach. This feature allowed me to reduce the time it took me to write emails by a ton. English is not my native speaking/writing language, so before using Lavender I would overthink every sentence in my emails. I was reviewing them multiple times before sending them, not knowing how they would land on the recipient. It's good to have an overall score on your email based on real email data and not based on my own instinct.
Business news take some time to load, however, nothing too significant that would block my process
Time it takes to write an email for a first-timer SDR
Lavender compiles research data for me. I no longer have to spend time researching prospects individually.
They're a small startup building fast, so some bumps are to be expected. For example, their Outreach integration can be cumbersome at times. It barely slows me down, though, and they make frequent improvements.
Almost eliminated research time. Email readability is improved. Time spent writing emails is down. I receive constant training from their user data. Read rates are up. Reply rates are up. Meetings booked are up.
The email scoring feature has been a game-changer for our SDRs. It has helped increase our response rates by identifying key areas of the email that can be improved.
Our reps love Lavender. Will and the team are consistently adding features before we even realize the need for the enhancement. Overall, very hard to complain or find dislikes.
Email response rates, time it takes for reps to write-offs, time it takes for reps to research and personalize emails. We seen a significant increase in response rates since implementing Lavender
The features are built to help: write effective emails and save you time. They do this through sentence reframing, subject feedback, content revision. I used as a standalone user and now for our company. I am able to power through emails more effectively with increased open and response rates.
There is not a "dislike" that I have. Most of the things I would want to see, they have expressed they will be rolling out in the upcoming quarters.
Ineffective emails, better open rates, better response rates. Standing out in inboxes from admin to C level.
Lavender is the first tool I've used/implemented that reinforces best practices for outbound emails. Most tools optimize for efficiency, which is dangerous without hands-on training.
Handful of normal bugs, but the team is super receptive to feedback and very responsive as issues pop up.
#1 Training junior, external AEs without B2B experience on how to send quality outbound emails #2 SDRs can take a "first stab" at a sequence and it's almost always serviceable
The idea of bringing Personality Insights into everyday Sales emailing is just groundbreaking!
I kinda like where they are headed so yeah not much that I dislike.
I get to know what to write to whom and how to go about it. The benefits are mind boggling.
Lavender is THE best tool out there to clean up your word vomit. I find myself writing too much and confusing myself, let alone the reader. With Lavender's help, these turn into well-formatted sales emails that bring in results.
Lavender's scoring system makes me get uber-competitive with myself to make the best email possible. This can get me spending time trying to fix things that aren't broken.
Writing sales emails can be tricky. From templates to sequences to one-off replies, Lavender helps me put together the best copy to send out to prospects.
My favorite part is the email scoring. 1. Seeing the score each time turns it into a game. What's the best score I can get in the least amount of writing time? 2. I know this score has my back and as I work through the coaching/suggestions - I'm learning how to write better emails.
None - if there's a bug/glitch, customer support is on it.
Lavender helps me hit quota. I have some of the highest email conversion rates and top-performing sequences on my team.
Easy to use system that helps to identify easy to fix problems within an email. My favorite feature is the grade level, it helps me make sure I'm not being too technical to the point where others can't understand without industry knowledge. It's also great in that it sits on the side of your screen so regardless of if you're using Outreach, Salesforce, Hubspot, Linkedin, or Gmail, you're able to utilize Lavender to better your communication.
The outreach integration is tied to the Team plan which is great for those who are signing up with a team but makes me sad as an individual user. I wish I was able to move the widget around as it sometimes covers parts of the screen I want to be able to see.
Lavender makes my emails more concise and easier to comprehend for people who aren't in my industry. It does so by a grading system which means that I strive to improve each email.
I started using Lavender while I was still searching for a job and found it SO helpful in making sure my emails to prospective employers were well-drafted before I hit send. The free trial for job seekers was such a wonderful tool to have, especially because I wasn't looking to add a new paid subscription while I was still less than employed. I was raving about the product already and planned to pay for it to continue doing outreach after I got my job and was thrilled to find my company, Sharebite, had already purchased the product for our sales team. In trainings on company-specific cold emails I have found myself saying out loud, "I know Lavender would ding points for this phrase," or "This is probably a 12th grade reading level we should tone it down," and the fact that this mindset has been so quickly adopted through Lavender's tips is invaluable to me. The mobile optimization view is one of the features I use the most. I rarely click send without taking a look first! If you're a visual learner, having that score on your emails update in real-time is such a great tool and being able to analyze individual portions that you've lost points on takes the guesswork out of what you could be doing better. I've 100% recommended Lavender both to job-seekers in my network as well as sales teams at different organizations and think it's a great tool to add into anyone's tech stack! All the Lavender employees are also just the BEST and happy to answer any questions via LinkedIn or email. I love engaging with their posts and feel like if I ever had any questions I wouldn't be burdening anyone by asking!
Functionality wise I wish there were a way to not take points away for commonly used phrases or add an exceptions list to exclude from the algorithm. My email signature drops my score! Being able to view the same data without having to manually delete and then re-add would be fantastic.
As I mentioned before, the actual analysis gives me peace of mind before I hit send and I love being able to take that and implement tactics that worked into more of my emails. I have to constantly remind myself not to use big 12th grader words in that initial email and I'm a sucker for the commonly used phrased like "I'd love to jump on a call" etc. so having those pointed out to me helps immensely in my own improvement.
