I really like using Vocus to track our press releases. The information I need is easily accessible.
I use Vocus for social media purposes, and I wish there were always Twitter follow suggestions.
We are trying to create engagement. Vocus is great to track who's talking about us and subjects related to us.
The thing I liked best with iContact was the easy ux
It seems like as competitors like MailChimp grew in the scope of features and functionality iContact just seems dated
HTML email solution to send out wonderfully written and persuasive emails on a platofrom that is affordable, easy to use, easy to collaborate with others and overall a highly effective tool.
It gets the job done. If you're looking for 'just the basics', iContact is right for you. It does what you need it to do, but lacks the bells and whistles other platforms offer. For a simple and easy-to-use solution, iContact may be the perfect solution.
There are some real areas of opportunity for iContact. From a design perspective, it's difficult and cumbersome to design emails if you're not a graphic designer (not easy to plug-and-play). List management is not intuitive or easy to manage (compared with other platforms). Analytics for delivery are less than industry average, which may indicate that it's getting stuck in pesky spam filters. The design capabilities are a bit limited, somewhat handicapping design creativity.
Event invitation, firm-wide promotion and sharing of news, external email campaigns, etc.
Works well when I send a message. Easy to add contacts.
I have to pay for more than I need. Changing list names and bulk imports are tricky. Searching for contacts if not in a list does not provide and matches.
I am able to send out my messages. But I often have to call the help line to resolves problems and it's not always easy to speak to an actual person when the chat function isn't helpful.
Drag and Drop Creation works well. Recycling emails.
Having to copy HTMlL to then send email from Salesforce. Difficult to establish new templates. I don't use pre-made ones bc we stick to company aesthetic
Recycling email templates is good. Saves time.
I like how I can see who has opened things, clicked on things, etc.
The cost is ridiculous. I've spoken to other team mates who pay much less or free for the same service elsewhere.
I'm able to reach out to my contacts with a professional looking email with iContact. Not sure what benefits I've actually realized with it.
The reuse email feature was somethign i found myself using almost daily
the UI design is outdated in my opinion and it put me off the software
We use it for promotional purposes
I liked that they make it super easy to use and ease of access for all staff
I dislike the time it takes to set it up
No programs. Benefits is it saves time
These was a user-friendly platform overall
There are similar products out there that may be cheaper.
Contacting large lists quickly
I would best describe it as "ok" it gets the job done but it's not my favorite
Missing some features I prefer I used it for a little bit and it was fine but i needed something a little better
Like I said it was missing some features for my personal preference but it gets the job done for sure
It does what it needs to do and integrates with Salesforce. iContact was more affordable than similar email marketing brands that integrated with Salesforce.
Don't expect editing to be easy (specifically the ability to arrange and edit templated and html emails). The ready-made designs are very hit or miss, and some look pretty outdated. The integration with Salesforce was less than ideal.
We needed an email marketing solution that integrated with Salesforce. iContact did that, but it wasn't perfect.
easy tracking features helping us imporve our content to promote better opening and click through rates.
doesnt sync perfectly with salesforce, depending on record types. Unclear wether this is a salesforce or Icontact issue.
allows us to manage our newsletters for donors and volunteers.
The email templates are attractive, able to insert pictures and videos
Emails go to spam, templates restrictive
More attractive emails for marketing
I like the the connection with Salesforce
No attachments and limited template ability
Mass marketing peices which reach large number of prospects
The service has the basics down and is generally user-friendly. The service is also very cost effective, so it could be a good starting point for small businesses.
There are better service providers out there like MailChimp and Constant Contact who are a bit more sophisticated and around the same price point. I'd say get a free trial of all of them and decide which you like to work in best. If you need a program that will scale as your business grows however, I'd say Constant Contact is a better email provider.
Mass distribution mailing of press releases and other firm news. Some of my clients used IContact and it did the job. The reporting is also pretty decent on IContact but as I said, it's customization options are somewhat limited.
A very useful tool if you know how to use it. Helped keep things in place
Not much to dislike. It could be a little confusing to use. Wish it could me made a little more user friendly
Helps connect. It helps keep things in place
It’s fairly easy to use, not a huge learning curve there.
The templates are not plug and play. Instead you have to work exactly within the parameters of what they’ve created, making it very difficult for your vision of a perfectly designed email to come to fruition.
We are reaching our target audience and tracking how many people click the links.
The software is easy to use and has a good ease of entry into the email marketing realm
it has quite a few bugs with the builder if you attempt to edit the raw code
iContact is an easy way to build an email list. The wordpress plugin works very well
Smooth integration with Salesforce, easy to update emails
Clunky for custom coding and tricky to modify templates
We need to send and track bulk emails to our prospective students and applicants regularly and iContact makes it possible to do so.
Best, I like the drag and drop editor and overall interface is quite good.
Design limitations and lack of support when it comes to designing for Outlook. Designs in outlook look quite antiquated.
Content marketing solutions.
