FreshBooks user-friendly interface. The ability to invoice clients and send client’s estimates for a job all while on the go.
I have yet to find anything I dislike about FreshBooks
My accounting was a mess before finding FreshBooks. Now at tax time, I have zero anxiety. Everything is perfectly packaged and ready for my accountant.
FreshBooks’ Interface is easy to use and is incredibly powerful as a service tool for any business.
Nothing! If there was something negative to come up with, I’d be happy to share, but the truth is that there is nothing to complain about.
I’ve loved being able to automate invoices and collect payments. It makes it incredibly easy for me, while presenting my business as top tier/professional.
Setting up auto-invoicing and auto payments is incredible. I set everything up and then forget it. Money is deposited into my account.
I haven’t found any downsides. It works seamlessly for what I need
I no longer need to invoice customers monthly, and it makes billing a breeze. It also tracks my total income.
Ease of use, excellent customer service, simple and effective billing platform.
Multiple databases require multiple accounts which costs extra.
Accounting is finally organized and under control. Clients are able to pay easily, and when they do, it's automatically entered into the accounting side.
The ease and page layout- it's very easy to navigate
Sometimes it's a little hard to find where to edit information
It's so easy to send out invoices and track incoming income or see what is still outstanding
Using FreshBooks has saved me time when creating invoices, and also provides a great way to time track.
Sometimes the interface can be a little tricky to find things, but once they're found it's not a problem.
I used to use a phone app to track time, but FreshBooks has an internal time tracker that can link directly to clients. This helps to save me time, and thus makes me money.
Time tracking and how seamlessly it's connected to invoicing.
Not having more functions for individual project tracking, like schedules and timelines.
get paid faster.
I like the fact that it is not an overly complicated program that has everything I need to run my business in one place. While I do not offer payroll, I have looked into their app integrations and they seem to work very well. I do use it for contractors to submit their hours and collaborate on projects just not payroll.
I don't like the fact that for a flat-rate project, I cannot print out a report for all of the hours used against the project. I realize that it's a flat-rate, but I like to know how long we spent on each project for future reference. I would also like to see a client login area, but I guess they would have to sign up to view. I think in the Freshbooks Classic this was an option, but it's been a while...
Invoicing for hourly projects is a breeze with this program. I also like that people can pay online right then and there when they receive the invoice (although, some like to take their time...). I find the reports very easy and informative when tax season comes around--especially for my CPA!
I like the time tracking features the best. I keep track of all my time on projects. I also like the ease of invoicing my clients.
I would like the ability to be able to charge clients for the use of credit cards. These charges are pretty high for a small business and my clients would be happy to pay for the convenience.
I'm not an accountant. I like that Freshbooks makes it easy to handle my expenses and invoicing.
It is so easy to invoice and track my billings. It use to take me hours to do invoicing and I had to track everything manually. Now invoice literally takes me 3 minutes or less. I hate bureaucracy and Freshbooks is the answer. What a pleasure. Worth every dollar I spend on it, which quite frankly, is not a lot for the value.
Nothing. One of my very favorite products and brands. I have recommended this to many of my consultant friends. Many times I find they are already using it and we rave together!
I need to add and change clients often and I need to invoice every month. So fast and easy. And at the end of the year I need to get information for my taxes. This year I am going to start using Freshbooks to track my expenses as well.
The responsiveness of their customer service and the fact that they are open and willing to add suggested features.
Features of the old version are still being rolled out into the new one, but they've almost got all of them back now.
Invoicing, client management, time tracking, annual reports.
I like having professional and attractive invoices automatically generated for me! I like tracking my expenses with it so I can see where my money is going. Creating projects and tracking hours directly in Freshbooks saves time and earns more money because I'm properly monitoring my work time.
I would like to be able to merge expenses more consistently. Sometimes I have to add an expense to properly bill it on time, and when my expenses sync with my bank, the same charge appears and I have no way to merge it, except to delete one of the entries. I wish I could create custom expense classifications and label the colors that are assigned to my clients.
My accountant had questions for me, and using Freshbooks' automatic reports, I had answers for them with just a few clicks! I also use the invoicing options, like getting paid from credit cards and automatic reminders for late payments. I can also automatically send my expenses to my accountant, so they don't have to hassle me for that information.
I love how easy FreshBooks is to use, and how intuitive it is. Our small business switched from QuickBooks a few years ago and have been so happy we did! Also, customer service is TOP-NOTCH!
There is currently nothing I dislike about FreshBooks.
We use FreshBooks for all of our bookkeeping and financial reporting.
As a graphic designer that handles my own bookkeeping, I love the convenience of having the whole process in one place; from the estimate to the time tracking, billing and all the accounting features.
It no longer shows the the monthly profit and loss on the home screen
Freshbooks made it so much easier to keep track of my billing.
FreshBooks Select makes it easy for me to invoice clients monthly, on occasion, projects, or however they choose to work with my company. I also like that the invoices can be automatic and that the credit card payments are all deposited into my account at once instead of having multiple bank transactions to keep track of. All credit card fees are automatically updated as expenses as well in FreshBooks so I don't have to keep track of them.
I haven't found something I dislike at the moment of course none of us like fees, so there are those, but they are standard across accounting software.
Regardless of how the client wants the contract, FreshBooks Select is able to accommodate the needs. Payment terms, monthly, hourly, a la carte, everything can be adjusted to fit what we need.
Freshbooks has a super-easy user interface. I've had three virtual assistants in the past 10 years, and each has figured things out easily.
I would love to be able to track hours and expenses spent on flat-rate projects. The only way to link expenses, though, is to make them "billable," which they are not. They are just expenses. So calculating ROI when I pay sub-contractors gets complicated
I track my time; some of my sub-contracts use FBs for their time. Integration with project accounts is easy. I also love how easy it is for clients to pay via credit card and ACH.
I love that I can email my clients and get paid quickly, and also that payment reminders can be sent automatically.
There's really nothing I can think of that I dislike about Freshbooks
I am able to quickly create and send invoices, see if they have been received, and keep track of them easily. It is helpful to be able to create estimates and then convert them into invoices if the project moves forward.
Some of my favorite features include the automated reminder emails, the ability accept pretty much any payment time (even cash, you just have record it), plus being able to snap pictures of expenses on the go.
The app sometimes crashes when uploading more than 1 expense at a time. Time tracking could also be a little faster to access, perhaps a seperate mini app (think Facebook Messenger vs Facebook)
Having clients in different states often means I'm working from the road a lot, Freshbooks allows me to easily keep track of invoices and expenses from any where.
The User interface is easy to understand and a breeze to use. The reports/metrics provided by the system allow me to better understand how my business is preforming over time and how I can improve and focus on the times it is not. I like that fact that this is not your average accounting option, the User interface feels modern more streamlined and simple. When i think of those other guys immediately have a feeling of outdated or slow to adapt to today's business models. but if i had to pick my favorite feature i would say the app that allows full access and function from my cell phone!
If i had to pick one place to improve it would be provide additional options for the invoice templates. Other than that i would say that Freshbooks is well rounded accounting option.
it allows me to manage my business on the go from where ever i wish to be with ease. I'm grateful to have had FreshBooks as a dedicated small business sales and accounting solution. I primarily use the mobile app to generate invoices quickly on the go when I'm visiting clients. This way I can send invoices by email, mark payments received, and/or request electronic payments.
It's been slightly inconvenient to keep my active client count under 500, but not such a big deal. My biggest gripe has been with the reporting system and being able to maintain or repeat a preferred filter while browsing one or more reports.
Before I started with FreshBooks, I used a free offering that limited me to just a few clients. I reused invoices in order to work with more than the limit. It wasn't ideal but it worked in the short term. FreshBooks enabled me grow with ease and get paid pretty easily, too. The company has been receptive to my feedback, too, though a little slow to implement changes to its mobile app.
