I love that Drip fully connects to my Shopify store. You can then segment customers based upon past purchases that allows you to easily create targeted lists to send emails. I love the work flows that allow you (to a degree) set it and forget it. Example work-flows, abandoned cart, past purchase, etc.
I have had some issues with workflows that just stop working sometimes. Usually, support has been really great (chat), but as of late, I have been forced to use email support and sometimes have had to wait a few days for a response. It would be one thing if I was supporting one account, but I support more than 10 accounts that use Drip.
Customer segmentation has been the biggest issue. The ability to send the right product message to the right people rather than just blast a message has improved my ROI greatly.
The number of features offered and workflow interface in my opinion are unmatched. The ease of navigation is great and intuitive. The email templates are beautifully designed. The campaign templates make new funnel creation much quicker.
Compared to similar tools, I find it to be a bit over priced. I have recommended drip to a number of people and the price has deterred many. The Sendowl integration is extremely lacking. Many of my subscribers were getting the incorrect emails because they were not segmented properly initially because of issues with sendowl integration. I was also charged for having people on my list that unsubscribed. As a new user, it was not initially intuitive to me that I needed to delete these people or I would be charged a higher amount.
The rules and workflow capabilities are amazing and really help me niche down with my list. The tool I used before didn't have great workflow capability. This is essential for a successful sales funnel. For example, I Drip for a fitness website where I offer both weight loss and muscle building funnels. Without proper workflow and rules, subscribers would be getting information completely unrelated to what they want.
I love the beautiful UI and how easy Drip makes things like managing workflows. I came from probably the largest email provider (that starts with a M) and thoroughly enjoy using Drip more. Even the email builder is fun and easy to use (albeit not super advanced, but that's fine!). I love their extensive list of guides and walk through videos. There's endless ideas in there for how I can improve my email marketing and I'm only small percentage of the way through it. The Drip product team is also super good at listening and implementing feedback, for example they added SMS marketing in 2020 and it's been super useful and fun to use. Even within a few months of the beta they had added new features like sending images/GIFs which is a big value add!
I don't love how the dashboard isn't responsive (this would be fine if they had a smartphone app but they don't). Also their customer service email reply times aren't great but when they do reply they are always super helpful. There could be more total integrations, especially with e-commerce related tools like reviews and SMS tools.
Drip is really good at helping me save time with email marketing by doing it effectively and efficiently. Also they updated their pricing tier sometime earlier in 2020 and now its even more affordable. I realize I dont know everything about email marketing and so their knowledge/learning center is priceless. I imagine most folks don't know the depths of email marketing so their extensive guides are super useful and this was a benefit I hadn't known before opening an account.
Easy to navigate UI, solid visual email builder, powerful workflow automation builder, prompt live chat service response. Supplied email builder templates are well designed and flexible to utilize for a variety of messaging styles. Continuous improvement of features and implementation of new tools.
Could provide deeper analytics about individual recipients to help sales engage more closely due to the B2B nature of our firm. Email builder needs improvement when it comes to incorporating MSO HTML formatting. Emails can look great in the builder and in Gmail, with very broken formatting when viewed in Outlook 2016+. Lacks landing page creation, so you'll need to handle that on your own CMS.
Helps us communicate with our customers and prospects in their trial period to nurture engagement. Good response so far to drip campaigns to convert demo users to paying customers. Eliminated the need to engage a high-priced solution that has way more features than our start-up needs. Drip fits the feature/budget level that a new enterprise without significant VC backing is typically looking for.
#1 is the customer service and chat. Always hyper responsive in my experience especially through the shifts of COVID
Need a more detailed dashboard with attribution at the product level.
Robust flows and great visual builder upgrade for quick execution of campaigns.
The interface is easy to use and has enough functionality to help me get done what I need to. E-commerce automation and custom workflows are solid and easy to use.
I wish that it was easier to customize the emails we are sending out. I know the builder is fairly intuitive and I still wish I had more control over the WYSIWYG interface
We were solving the need to deliver timely emails with custom offers and reminders to customers who abandoned carts that they left behind and could purchase in the future. It easily integrates with our Shopify account and seamlessly pulls our product data dynamically into the autogenerated emails.
The system can really do so much between workflows, automation, and broadcasts/campaigns. The support is excellent and it connects to a number of outside systems to control flow and collect email addresses. The reporting on broadcasts is really stellar! It's super easy to build campaigns with the template builder and you can do split-testing for both subject lines and design, which is very helpful. Also, love that it ties in seamlessly with our ticketing software FareHarbor and that we have a marketing company that also assists us with the setup and implementation of various things we want to do. The ability to build and control the pop-up form on our website and change it up is also really nice!
There's a bit of a learning curve, especially coming off of the more commonplace systems, but w/ the great support and resources it's not an issue. The template-builder sometimes changes fonts randomly, which is odd, and tagging new email addresses to specific groups is a little wonky. I also would love it if the public link for emails snagged an image from the email or had something that was a bit nicer than just the link itself. It's a bit pricier than alternatives, but it really can do so much!
Workflows directing to customers, repeat, and otherwise, based on various criteria have helped, though we need to do more with it. The broadcast campaigns really help us stay engaged with our audience and with the reporting we're able to get a great snapshot of the success of various campaigns and things we did.
I love that you can create automated email chains for all sorts of events that can happen on your website or behaviors customers take. I love how you can add customers to Facebook audiences in these chains and make use of a/b split testing
I wish there were a bit more tutorials to watch on even more strategies that could be used. Though the tutorials that are available are extremely well done and cover all the basics!
The benifits of drip are to have another channel (email) where I can have a relationship with my customer.
Drip for us is a broad marketing system and what we like the most is that its tools are varied and extensive and allow us to create, edit, improve campaigns and at the same time be able to distribute, the other additional characteristics is that it allows us to receive an analysis where in detail we It shows which were the positive or negative parts regarding the comments of the users to the campaigns, however it can improve.
The system is very nice so I have no negative points, it does not have something negative regarding its features or tools. however it can improve a little more in the mailing system to expand to more people not only in my space but in a much wider space attracting new clients and new traffic in this way this feature can be additional to expand the use of Drip.
Definitely solving our most complicated problems that was to improve in marketing within the company giving viable solutions in the improvement of new advertisements and new traffic on our website and specifically in the sale of our products, we have seen in a notorious way that the Drip system to It worked great as we have seen these favorable results on our balance sheets and it has worked so far.
One of the things that we are most satisfied with is your system since it has a very powerful one integrated with shopify Another thing that we like about Drip is that it is extremely easy and intuitive to create automated email sequences. It also has a great variety of templates, which makes the creation process easier.
The only problem that we have gotten cold is that sometimes their technical support is unstable, sometimes they answer my concerns immediately and sometimes it is impossible to contact them, I have to climb until they finally answer me and it may take many days for that to happen. which is very complicated sometimes especially if there are short delivery periods
Currently we use drip since we have several preconfigured campaigns and so we can select which clients to send any type of information to. We also use it to send newsletters to our company personnel.
The ease of building an email broadcast and the use of trigger links that make automation easy. And I can set a followup to a day later to resend to those who do not open the first one.
Some things are not intuitive and require some investigation to see what is going on.
Adding someone to a campaign by the use of trigger links.
Drip allows us to individuate our emails, yet saves us time because we don't have to go in to each person manually to tailor our message to them.
Some of the aspects are rather complex, and take a fair effort to learn how to get them flowing smoothly
We're beginning to learn how to set up the 'workflow' elements, so that the email sequences can be adjusted according to what actions the customers do or don't take – this solves the problems of sending out "blunt" automations which may not have *actually* suited the client's situation.
i love the workflow editor. it makes the software so powerful
there's not much to dislike. be great if it had a mobile app but thats it.
regular communication with clients and more importantly future clients. the workflow editor is immense and the connectivity with other software makes it extremely versatile.
There's a few things I like about Drip: The Dashboard. Simple, easy to use and keeps evolving Automations. Are pretty flexible, quick to set up. Visual builder. Some of the best I've seen in the market
Overall this is a great CRM o ECRM. However, there are few issues that we discovered during our journey. 1-Only chat support (our at least for our plan). I understand this could be a way to pioritise your efforts toward the big fish that actually pays the big money. However, after using it for 10 months we really struggled with the part of having different agents looking after our requests. I tell you a story of how we manage our newsltter. We had someone recommed us to do something in March, then you chat with another one in July, tells you to change the whole set up to use the once off emails. And then again, another agent in October recommends you to go back to the original set up. 2- Not being able to see a report for our form's responses within the app. More than a csv with 30 columns.
Email Automations. Sending emails when users sign up to our mobile app. Automated surveys. Sending surveys to our mobile app users by email, getting a response using the forms. And following up after by another email automation. We succed pretty well with this campaing getting important feedback that ended up having a real impact in our app.
Workflows and rules for automating emails based on tags.
You can't see a list of all of your subscribers - you have to use filters.
When a client signs up for a trial, we can easily send them a sequence of emails using Drip, based on simple adjustments to tags for the client.
Drip's automation features are second-to-none. While it may take some time to set up at first, it pays massive dividends once you do. So much more intuitive and helpful than other tools I've used for email marketing (Constant Contact, Mailchimp). The fact that you can set up complex campaigns means you have to be thoughtful about the content you're sending.
The analytics are a bit tricky to get on a account-level. I can see stats on a campaign-level, but sometimes I'd like to see data from a birds-eye view.
I'm able to run lead-gen and on-boarding campaigns much easier.
I like the fact that Drip is easy to use and has a visual automation tool. Dark mode is cool too.
I hate the "mo graphs" thing. I'd rather see my automations right away
Connecting with potential clients. I found a client using inbound marketing.
The options are good. Overall is everything very easy to use.
Switching through different mails in your campaign could be easier and quicker.
Automated Drip campaign make an important part of our online funnels.
Drip is an extremely well thought out, intuitive email tool. It has advanced features that have allowed us to build triggered onboarding campaigns based on actions taken in our customer dashboard, and now that Drip has rolled out split testing we have the added bonus of being able to launch A/B tests easily to improve our open rates. I have nothing but glowing things to say about the support I have received as a Drip customer. Whether it's through chat, email, or scheduled video calls, I've always had prompt, friendly, helpful interactions with the Drip customer success team and walked away with great feedback and new ideas to try.
Drip's analytics are pretty awkward - I want to be able to drill down to how my newsletter subscriptions have either increased or decreased over time, and I can't do that because I can't pull in emails from a tagging level. It's also difficult (maybe impossible?) to group broadcasts emails together to see trends over time.
Before Drip, we were sending the same five emails to every new customer, regardless of what they had done or not done in their dashboard. Now that we can send triggered emails based on customer actions, we are able to map what we send against the customer's experience, and the result is much more personalized communications. Our open rates and click through rates have increased as a result, and we are seeing a lot more engagement with our product.
Drip is the best platform where I can conduct experiments. I can conduct experiments regarding to not only just email title, email body text, but also recipient segmentation and condition to send emails.
it's not available to easily remove or move the link between nodes on the workflow. Thus, I need to duplicate the workflow in order to modify the workflow.
I need to find a re-marketing channel to boost customer purchase, and the email would be the one of that. How ever most of the email platform do not provide a suitable environment to experiment on email marketing. Thus, I have been looking for suitable email marketing platform, and I have finally found Drip.
