I appreciate how easy it is to create a great layout and add or remove pictures, text, and anything else. Shifting the look of your email is simple and encourages creativity.
To be honest, I have yet to discover a downside to using constant contact. I am familiar with competitors and frankly would chose constant Contact over them if given the choice.
Keeping our base of members connected is incresingly difficult as there are many digital formats vying for their attention. But Constant Contact has made it easy to connect and remain connected to communicate what's most important to our members.

I use it to connect with our church members and parents of youth goup. It makes it easy to connect with larger groups of people.
Being able to create a distribution list specific to the email campaign I am sending is very convenient. Also you can upload email addresses for the list via a spreadsheet or manually enter them. By checking the Performance after sending a Campaign project, which for me is a monthly newsletter for employees, I can track whether the newsletter is opened or not and how recipients interact with the newsletter, such as clicking links and reading articles, etc. Without having to ask any of the recipients to provide feedback, this data assists me create future content based on previous activity.
I wish there is a desktop application vs. working out of the website. Also, the designing of a campaign email takes some getting used to. I used to use a different program to create our newsletter and it allowed for me to be very creative with images, backgrounds, fonts, etc. and it seems CC is a quite a lot more simplified as far as design capabilities within the layout as well as specific images text and other content. However, I am able to create content in another program, take a screenshot of that content, and insert this as an image to the CC design I am creating. It is a successful work-around, which I would not be able to make creative and intriguing content to keep viewers interested.

I was in panic mode. I accidentally deleted my entire Client list. I called Constant Contact, and the advanced tech guy, David Goodman, was able to recover my list, and the young lady (who I forgot her name) with tech support assisted me in uploading the file. They saved the day!

CC makes email and SMS marketing a no-brainer. Your collection of contacts is separated into specific categories, and campaign feedback is easy to read.
Least helpful... not sure. The process of determining what has been bounced and why could be a bit more clear.
Ease of creating, storing, and scheduling campaigns is phenomenal
I just used Constant Contact for the first time at my job. WOW! Creating the newsletter was so easy and we were able to lay out everything exactly how we envisioned it. Both my boss and I appreciated the statistics following our email. Our open rate was great, and we did not have anyone unsubscribe.
I don't have anything negative to say. I need to familiarize myself with Constant Contact more before I know if there are any additional things or functions I would like to see.
Our small foundation wanted a simple and easy way to stay in contact with our donors. Sending an e-newsletter allows us to share stories and pictures of the impact their giving is making. We are using the email to highlight successes, and also adding in a light fundraising ask.
The ease of sending an SMS or Email Blast, it is easy to design, test and send to the individual lists, it makes my job so easier than it was before. Thank you Constant Contact!

There isn't much that I dislike about CC besides not offering a variety of free tools for email testing across various browsers/email servers. That would be most helpful for me to improve my experience.

One of the best things about Constant Contact is its phone customer support. I always appreciate getting dedicated care when I need it. I once was with a competitor that I thought I was satisfied with. I was trying out Constant Contact just to do my due diligence and was won over by the phone customer service (which Mailchimp does not offer). As well as the user-friendliness and ease of the platform. Additionally, being an administrator that's always on the go, having an app that can power my campaign when I'm mobile is a breakthrough win! I have the power of CC in my pocket, on my tablet, and ofcourse on my laptop.
The platform is very user-friendly, and they make great attempts to get things perfect...the reality is nothing in life is perfect! There's occasional bugs, though they resolve them rather quickly. For example, I had an issue initially with the auto-save feature -- called in and an agent shared that they too had experienced it and would push it up for review. I've noticed the auto-save feature has been working quite well recently. I presume they fixed the bug.
Gone are the days of attempting to draft an esthetic ally pleasing email in Outlook. Boom-ba-da-bam! Constant Contact allows me to quickly and easily communicate my message and do so in style. My recipients are roaring over the new newsletter style and email communications that were made possible by Constant Contact's products.
We use CC for a slightly different purpose than most customers - We are an HR team of a large organization that wanted a platform to share pertinent updates to our team members in a fun and engaging way. Our HR Team is not a group of web design experts in the slightest, but CC is an easy-to-use platform, and we've created eye-catching communications that our staff enjoy reading.

The only downside of Constant Contact is that there are so many possibilities to interact with your contacts (text messages, automation emails, weekly emails campaigns, social media posting), you could have a full time person working just with Constant Contact... but then again that's actually a good thing!
Constant Contact is providing us with a quick and easy way to reach our members through a weekly email campaign. It helps us primarily keep our members up to date with our upcoming events. It's also helping us measure those communications' engagement to learn what is and is not working. Additionally, it's helping us refine our member list to those with high engagement.
