I wanted a system that helped my team track time and manage projects. This checked those boxes and so much more. I love the SalesForce and QuickBooks integrations. Almost every section is customizable so I can use my team's jargon. This cut down on our wramp up time - which saved money! The cherry on top is the white glove service the BigTime team provided. I am a happy client!
The training fee. I get it, but I also wish it was optional. I honestly feel like I could've watched a video and learned what I needed to learn. Our trainer Marni is amazing. I know I learned faster and better because of her. However, I am not sure I learned soooo much that it was worth the cost.
The big problem solved is time tracking. I love that I can start a timer and it will automatically update in the timesheet. I've used other software that did something similar, but I couldn't correct mistakes. If I forgot to switch timmers, there was no undo button.
The software is very user friendly and easily navigated. Also integration with QB desktop was easy
The timers are manual which is a bit off base. I would prefer to have a timer just start when the employee starts the file or clicks on the task

Ease of learning and using BigTime software, The White Glove Service and our amazing Customer Success Manager Marni! She has been wonderful in helping us setup and implement this software. She is so thorough in everything and only an email or phone call away to answer and/or help with any needs or questions! This software makes tracking billable & non-billable hour, expenses and projects go much more smoothly! Being able to customize settings, field values that align with our business system is extremely helpful and very much liked! The Knowledge base section BigTime provides is very insightful when you have a quick question on the software or just to learn more on what BigTime offers prior to any training. BigTime also has integration with QuickBooks, makes setup, invoicing and time tracking easy! For Project Management using BT and all of its features has been wonderful! You can easily create new projects and add in tasks that go in with these projects and track where each project is at in its process.
Have not come across any feature yet that we dislike!
Tracking billable and non-billable hours and expenses for business and client projects, along with being able to manage all aspects of a project and see where these projects are at.
The layout is really simple and easy to navigate through the page making it easy to find what is needed.

We would like to have a reminder sent to use for invoicing outside of our normal period. However, I understand that Ben will discuss this with us further.
We currently use BigTime for timekeeping, invoicing, and project management. The newest benefit that Ben shared with us is being able to copy a project instead of having to create it from scratch. Thanks for the tip, Ben!!!
It is a fully packaged solution for all time tracking / allocation / utilization.

I like that time tracking, time sheets, invoicing, and accounting can all be integrated into one software.
The out of the box seems to be geared toward tech.
Invoicing takes half the time it used to once everything is set up.
I save a lot of time in executing double, triple or mass billing. It means a lot to simplify the administration of financial workflows, I like that I can identify a possible alternative payment for suppliers very well elaborated. The price is affordable for my interests.
No negative comments apply, it has made my working life extremely positive.
We like that the program awards accounting processes in invoicing to colleagues and important companies. It has been applied to encourage time saving in many of the interactive trade processes. It has given a great boost to our way of working.

Marni and Theo were very friendly and answered all of our custom requests quickly.
I would have liked a little more time, but they did go above and beyond with the time we had scheduled.
We will have more flexibility in how our time tracking will be inputted and reported.
BigTime integrates with QuickBooks Online, so there was no manual transition to utilize the software. We were looking for a way to implement labor codes, project numbers, etc., which is beyond what we're able to do as a QuickBooks customer. We are not big enough to justify the cost of Ajera - BigTime is user friendly and straight-forward.
I kept forgetting to save changes when I first added detail to our projects.
We are tracking budgets more closely and we're able to see specifically what tasks need efficiencies.
It is very easy to track staff time and expense. Easy for users to use and it eliminates their need to generate me an invoice
Nothing really to dislike. Works well and very intuitive. My consultants like that they do not have to send me invoices.
Eliminates multiple timesheets and expense tracking
I love how user friendly this program is. We recently switched from WorkBook and I don't ever want to look back because of how difficult it was. BigTime is well organized, I LOVE that I can save things or undo things in a simple click. I'm still new to using it, but I must say one of my favorite things is probably the connection between BigTime and Quickbooks. I work a lot with Quickbooks, and the fact that things are linked and I can simply click "sync" and information transfers between the two means less duplicate entry work for me, and much less margin for error. I don't mind doing the work in any way, but this has already been incredibly helpful already in alleviating more time for the rest of my tasks. Also, the fact that they have a live chat for customer service is amazing. And when they're not live, they'll answer you via email very quickly. That is so essential to me because sometimes I can't wait a week for an answer like I have with other programs in the past.
So far I haven't found much I have disliked about the software. I will say that I wish we could customize some of the categories. It will take some time but "Activity" from our previous software means something completely different than "Activity" in BigTime. I think it will just take a little time to get used to it, but eventually we will get the differences down.
The biggest problem I think that has been solved for my workday is probably the amount of time I save on being able to sync things between BigTime and Quickbooks. I feel like I used to waste so much time because I was having to manually enter in data to Quickbooks AND to our old program. I have a lot more time to work on my other tasks now that I'm not doing double duty.
I am an end user in BigTime. I am able to submit my hours for projects, review employee hours, and pull reports for clients. The system is easy to use and tracks everything we need. BigTime also allow us to track and submit expense reports. I am loving it! I just had my first experience with customer support and it was excellent as well. One of the most helpful things about BigTime is to be able to go back and look at the actions that were completed for a task and to see how much time it took. You can also track expenses and manage project expenses.
As I learn more about the system, I am liking it more and more. There is not much to dislike about the software. I think it can be configured for many different purposes. I would suggest to set up time entries in a way that makes it simple for employees to follow and understand. But, I believe this is a task for the individual companies and not the BigTime software.
Being able to track hours for different projects and task has been excellent. The software also allows us to submit expenses and it is easy to understand. We work with multiple different clients and the software allows us to track hour by hour which projects we are working on. There is also a function to track hours while the work is being performed, which is a nice feature. It has also been a nice way to track project expenses.
The BigTime platform is intuitive and very easy to use. It also helps us to meet the requirements of DCAA.
I do not have anything that I dislike about the platform to date.

Hello Ben, Big time has made tracking my expenses and work time sheets easy. I really like the choices to individually submit the different kinds of expenses without any hassle. The team has done a great job in developing and maintain the software to keep it free from any lags or connection problems even for the iPhone app version. Thank you.
It has been a great experience overall. It is just the app version does not indicate the status if the expenses have been submitted or approved. It would be great t add this feature to the app to make it a better version to stay updated in the phone app too. Making it an easier and friendly option to use.
Easy expense and time sheet tracking
The ability to send a question via chat and have answered via email. Also if one needs to call the phone number is readily accessible and not on some random page !
A few quirks over the years we have been using - however always able to improve and get past them.
Easy way for employees to put time with detail in from anywhere (from app). One stop for invoicing and are looking to possibly direct send the invoice from Big Time another bonus. The big benefit is it's sync with QB as it makes the process of invoicing a client seemless.
Having invoice standards that can be copied and pasted when opening new customers, and standardizing the invoice process across multiple customers.
The initial setup process takes quite a bit of time, and must be completed by us instead of having BigTime create the templates for us.
Allowing project managers to view the amount of time billed against a task in real time. Allowing one person to manage all of the invoices for all of the customers. Speeding up the review process of the invoices by multiple project managers. Standardizing the invoice process across multiple customers.
Ben Kinsel provided great step by step walk thru of the system, making this an easy setup and transition for billable time and tracking. This program is intuitive and easy to use.
